Biography

Dr Mark Gillis qualified from the University of Bristol Dental School in 1999. Mark then spent three years working as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.  

Mark became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002 and has utilised his hospital training to offer dental implants, intravenous sedation and oral surgery services in practice.

Mark gained his Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the highly respected Eastman Dental Institute in London, graduating with distinction and gaining the special prize awarded for outstanding achievement.

Mark is pleased to offer dental implants as a solution for the replacement of missing teeth. To achieve the best possible success rates Mark uses implants with significant long term research such as Straumann, Astra Tech and Nobel Biocare implants alongside experienced laboratory technicians. 

Mark has been placing dental implants since 2001 and thanks to a high level of post-graduate training he can also offer oral surgery treatments such as wisdom teeth extractions, guided bone regeneration and soft tissue surgery.

Mark also offers intravenous sedation for treatment of patients with dental anxiety. This is a very safe and effective way to have dental treatment and it can enable nervous patients to achieve their dental health goals.
